Bob Francis Didyoung age sixty two journeyed on to his next adventure on May 16, 2014 in the arms of his loving wife Ellen. Bob fought a valiant battle with cancer without a complaint, always with a smile and always positive. Bob was born on March 1, 1952 to Robert Francis Didyoung, Sr. and Irene F. Didyoung. Bob graduated from Central Catholic High School, Reading in 1970 and St. Josephs University in Philadelphia, PA in 1974 and Georgia State in 1977 to obtain a degree in respiratory care. Bob worked both as and in and outpatient respiratory care provider throughout the state of VT providing assistance to those with respiratory needs. In 2003 Bob chose to obtain a teaching certificate from St. Michaels College which he achieved in 2006. He taught middle school math in public schools until he had to slow own. His last position in teaching was his favorite as he was a tutor for VSAC and taught basic math skills to individual students that did not posses those skill. Bob was also very involved in the Starksboro Water Co-op and served as a committee member and worked with the conservation committee on the towns walking path. Bob was predeceased by his father, Robert Francis Didyoung, Sr. in 2002, he is survived by his adoring wife Ellen Didyoung, their four sons, Jeremy, Jason, Jacob and Joseph Didyoung, four grandchildren, his mother Irene F. Didyoung, his brother Tim and wife Marie Didyoung, his sister Kathy and her husband Barry Shay, His sister Anne and her husband Chris Cutler, his sister Sue Michel and her partner Mark Czarnecki as well as well as long list of extended family and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, Mohnton, PA 19540. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to : Shep 4 Education Fund, C/O Development Office at FFHC, 1 S. Prospect St., Burlington, VT 05401 OR Starksboro Town Clerks Office, C/O Conservation Land Trust Walking Path, P.O. Box 91, Starksboro, VT 05484.
