Robert Calvin Miller

Robert Calvin Miller, 93, formerly of West Wyomissing, passed away on June 29, 2023, at Genesis Senior Living-Mifflin Court.

Robert was married to Carol Ann (Krieger) Miller for 50 years prior to her passing on September 6, 2004.

Born in Bethel Township, he was the son of the late Herbert J. and Naomi (Spitler) Miller-Henne.

He grew up in Shillington and was a 1947 graduate of Shillington High School.

Upon graduating, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served our nation proudly and valiantly during the Korean war. As a decorated Marine, he was honorably discharged upon achieving the rank of Sergeant.

He was employed by Continental Can Company as a press operator and welder for 43 years, retiring in 1991.

Robert was an avid golfer who achieved a Hole-In-One at Manor Golf Club, Sinking Spring. He enjoyed playing golf into his 80's.

He was a life-time member of the VFW, West Wyomissing Fire Company, Sinking Spring Fire Company, and the Pennwyn Motor Association.

Robert is survived by two children, R. Scott, husband of Brenda L. (Tyner) Miller, Wyomissing and Beverly Ann (Miller), wife of Daniel J. Haughney, Bernville; one step-brother, Dale, husband of Judy Henne, Exeter Township; four grandchildren: Tara, Brady, Bethany, and Morgan and four great-grandchildren.
