Robert M. Bronson, 93, of Robesonia, died December 23, 2008 in the Golden Ridge Assisted Living Center.
He was the widower of Ann Rudzik who died in 1978 and of Mae E. (Kahler) Thornton Bronson who died in 2004.
Born in Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late Robert M., Sr. and Ida (Hills) Bronson.
Robert was a 1933 graduate of Hartford High School and received his B.S. in Metallurgy from Hillyer College in 1937.
He was employed as a metallurgist for 35 years for International Nickel Company, N.Y., N.Y., until his retirement in 1975.
Robert was a past president for the Chicago chapter of the Amesium Society for Metallurgists.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in WWII.
He is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. Thornton, Wernersville; three grandchildren, Laura McNeil, Matthew Dellinger and Christopher Kreider; and two great-grandchildren, Nathaniel and Alexander McNeil. Robert was predeceased by a son, Ronald T. Bronson.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Valhalla Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
