Robert K. Blessing

Robert K. Blessing, 89, formerly of Reading died of natural causes June 6th at 2:15am in Berks Heim, Bern Township, where he had been since March 5, 2003.

He was the widower of Mabel A. (Snyder) Blessing, who died November 7, 2005.

Born in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Charles H. and Isabelle A. (Kabish) Blessing.

He was a graduate of West Reading High School.

Blessing was employed 35 years as a Bus Driver at Barta Bus Company, Reading, retiring in 1980.

He was a life member and past master of the F&AM Lodge #740, West Reading.

Blessing is survived by a son, John of Reading and a daughter, Linda (Blessing) Ball of Livermore, Colo.

Other survivors include a step daughter, Sandra (Stump) Miller-Quinn of Cumru Township.

He is also survived by a sister, Anna Marion (Blessing) Patterson of Lakewood, New Jersey.

There are also 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren.

Services will be private. Burial will be in Becker's (St. Peter's) Cemetery, Molltown. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements. www.christfuneralhome.com
