Robert R. Bergenstock

Robert R. Bergenstock, Sr., 84, of Cumru Township, died August 9, 2012, in Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the husband of Yvonne E. (Mark) Bergenstock.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late David C. and Marie M. (Walbert) Bergenstock.

He was a 1945 graduate of William Allen High School, Allentown.

Bob was Executive Vice President of Construction Fasteners, Wyomissing.

He was a parishioner of St. John Baptist de La Salle Roman Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven children: Jon A., husband of Susan Bergenstock, Reading, Lori, wife of Vincent Murdock, Suffolk, VA, Gary J., husband of Cheryl Bergenstock, Old Bethpage, NY, Jo Ann Bergenstock, Reading, Robert R., Jr., husband of Cindy Bergenstock, Wyomissing, Valerie M., wife of Dr. Donald McBryan, Mohnton and David M. Bergenstock, Reading.

He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Bob was predeceased by his daughter, Vicki Marie Dyson, in 2003 and two sisters, Betty Barker and Faye Ernst.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in St. John Baptist de La Salle R.C. Church, Kerrick and Mitti Road, Shillington, PA 19607. Burial will be private in Berks County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the church.
