Robert D. Bausher

Robert D. Bausher, Jr. 90, of Hamburg died May 26, 2010 in St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center. He was the husband of Mary E. (Heckman) Bausher of Hamburg to whom he was married for 69 years. Robert was born in Hamburg and was the son of the late Robert D. and Ethel (Miller) Bausher. He graduated from Hamburg High School in 1937 and attended the University of Pittsburgh for one year. Bob was a graduate of the American Institute of Banking. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. Robert worked for the former Hamburg Savings and Trust for 40 years as Vice President of Operations and retired in 1983. He was a member of The First United Church of Christ, Hamburg and was a former deacon. Robert was a life member of Vaux Lodge #406 F &AM, a board member at Phoebe Home for 25 years, Past Commander of Behler Hein Post #637 Hamburg and a member of the Reserved Officers Association. Robert was predeceased by 2 sisters: Margaret (Bausher) Fryer in 1974 and Ethel M. Bausher in 2005. Private graveside services will be held in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg.
