Rita T. Barbera

Rita T. Barbera (née Marianni), of Wyomissing, PA, on Nov. 17, 2014 at Reading Hospital. A Philadelphia native, Rita also lived in Longport, NJ, and Boca Raton, Florida. After graduating high school Rita worked as an administrative assistant in various companies. Later she worked in the Office of the Philadelphia City Commissioners. Rita was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Eugene C. Barbera, Sr., her parents Frank Marianni, Sr., and Mary Marianni (née Lombardi), and her brother, Frank Marianni, Jr. Rita loved to travel, entertain her family and friends, and spend time at home with her family.

Rita leaves behind a loving family including her children and son- and daughters-in-law Eugene C. Barbera, Jr.; Rosemary A. Barbera and Eduardo Villegas; Dr. Charles F. Barbera and Mary Lynch Barbera; and Gary M. Barbera, Sr., and Linda Salera Barbera. She also leaves behind five grandchildren whom she loved dearly and who loved their Nana – Lucas, Spencer, Mariana, Carlos, and Gary Michael – and nephew Frank, and niece, Donna.

A funeral mass to celebrate Rita's life will take place at Sacred Heart Church, 701 Franklin St., West Reading, PA 19611, (610) 372-4010, on Friday, November 21st, 2014 at 10:30 am.
