Rita M. Bailey

Rita M. (Jackson) Bailey, 90, formerly of West Reading, passed away October 9, 2016, in the Mifflin Center.

Her husband, Lee E. Bailey, died on December 5, 2000.

Born in Buffalo, NY, she was a daughter of the late Eben and Margaret (Ferguson) Jackson.

Rita was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family. One of the best gifts she gave her children was staying at home to raise them.

She is survived by three children: David L., husband of Susan Bailey; Douglas A. Bailey, all of Wyomissing Hills; Judy A. Gilfert, fiancé of Charles Ganster, Spring Township and one brother, Edward Jackson, Buffalo, NY. Four grandchildren: Jonathan, husband of Amanda; Jaimie; Michael; and Andrea; and two great-grandchildren: Max and Emma also survive her.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
