Rita Dorothy Arnold

Rita Dorothy (Quartz) Arnold, 86, of 34 Lawndale Road, Wyomissing, died January 31rd at 11:22am in the Community Campus of St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading where she had been since January 9th.

She was the widow of Guy Gerald (Died February 5, 1977.)

Born in Cresson, Pa, Cambria County, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Rosalia (Flick) Quartz.

She was employed for a number of years as a sales clerk at Budget Uniform and Hallmark Card Store both in the Berkshire Mall, Wyomissing until her retirement.

Arnold was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

She was a past president and active member of Holy Family Society of St. Paul's, Reading.

Arnold is survived by a son, August W. husband of Kathleen Arnold of Exeter Township and three daughters, Susan (Arnold) Lattanzio of Reading, Geraldine (Arnold) wife of Russel Hartman of Pennside and Mary (Arnold) wife of Michael Cory of Holland, Bucks County.

She is also survived by a sister, RoseAnn (Quartz) wife of Richard McGuire of Cresson, Pa., Cambria County.

Other survivors include seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 10 am in St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield. Burial will be private in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
