Riley Franklin Noss, 9, of Wernersville, passed away January 19, 2011 in St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia after a long and valiant fight with cancer.
Born in Reading, he was a son of Henry J. and Amy (Strausbaugh) Noss.
Riley was a student at Conrad Weiser East Elementary School.
Riley enjoyed playing sports, especially his favorites, basketball and baseball. The highlight of his year was meeting Chase Utley at the Phillies stadium. Most of all, though, Riley enjoyed being with his family; helping his Dad on the farm or going to the Green Dragon with his Mom and best friend and brother, Hunter.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his three brothers, Michael, Jared, and Hunter Noss; five aunts Tara (Strausbaugh) Flohr, Darlene (Noss) Sutton, Christine (Noss) Hart, Marlene (Noss) Ciemiewicz, and Paulene (Noss) Maurer; his uncle Roger L. Strausbaugh II; nine cousins; and his beloved grandparents Roger Strausbaugh, Henry E. Noss, and Arlene (Trupp) Noss. His beloved Nanny (Catherine McCall Strausbaugh) preceded him in death on September 30, 2010 and was eagerly awaiting him at the gates of Heaven.
