Richard A. Tschiderer, 78, of Wyomissing, died September 25, 2009 in Reading Hospital.
For 55 years, he was the loving husband of Aileen C. (Cleary) Tschiderer.
Born in Rochester, NY, he was a son of the late Frank and Veronica (Froehler) Tschiderer.
He was a graduate of Niagara University in 1956.
Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
Richard was associated with Ernst & Young LLP for 36 years, retiring as a Partner in the Reading, PA office in 1990.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading, where he served as an extraordinary minister and lector.
He served two terms on the Alvernia University Board of Trustees, retiring earlier this year. Richard was also a previous treasurer for both the Borough of Wyomissing and the Berkshire Country Club and had served as president of the Reading Musical Foundation.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, John R., husband of Patty Tschiderer, Chevy Chase, MD and three daughters, Ellen, wife of Dr. John Feeney, Olney, MD; Ann, wife of William Wellock, Wyomissing and Jane, wife of Andrew Farella, Schwenksville. There is one sister, Mary T. Lenhard, Rochester, NY. He was predeceased by six brothers. Ten grandchildren, Gregory Feeney, Emily Feeney, William Wellock, Michael Wellock, Christopher Wellock, Richard Farella, Sarah Farella, Aileen Tschiderer, Johnny Tschiderer and Eric Tschiderer also survive him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, West Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading.
