Richard P. Trabosh, 72, of Hamburg, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday afternoon. Born in Hamburg on November 6, 1945, he was the son of the late Carrie Mae (Kline) and John Trabosh, Sr. He was a 1963 graduate of Hamburg High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Rich was a life member of the following organizations: NRA, Shartlesville Fish & Game, Hamburg Game Association, Shoemakersville Fire Company, Hamburg Fire Company #1, North American Hunting Club; Perry Township Game Association, and the Hamburg American Legion. He was a union representative and steel worker in shipping and receiving at Dana Corporation for 36 years, retiring in 1999. After his retirement he also remained active as an antique dealer in the Hamburg area. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley A. (Binner) Trabosh on September 24, 2012; brother, John Trabosh; and step-daughter, Kathleen L. Specht on February 3, 1987. Rich is survived by a son, Daniel M. Trabosh, of Shoemakersville; 2 step daughters: Coleen, wife of George Mycock III, of MD and Lisa, wife of David Pellegrino, of Pensacola, FL; 5 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Harold Trabosh, husband of Fran, of Santa Fe, New Mexico and George Trabosh, husband of Marguerite, of Hamburg. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Burkey and Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th St., Hamburg with Pastor Mark Jensen officiating. A viewing will be held in the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment with military honors will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg.
