Richard Thompson

Richard Thompson, 89, formerly of Muhlenberg Township, died August 1st at 8:00 pm in ManorCare Health Services, Spring Township, where he had been since November 4, 2004.

His wife, Eleanora R. (Guziewski) Thompson died September 21, 2004.

Born in Stony Creek, he was a son of the late George and Minnie (Doyle) Thompson.

He was a 1934 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

Richard co-owned Thompson Brothers Printing, Muhlenberg Township for 50 years before retiring in 1984.

He was a Army Veteran of WWII where he received the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and was in the first wave on Utah Beach.

Richard is survived by a son, Richard David Thompson, of Spring Township.
