Richard L. Stricker

Richard Lee Stricker, Jr., 54, died March 27, 2011 in his Muhlenberg Township residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Rhonda Lynn (Koch) Stricker whom he married October 12, 1974.

Born January 12, 1957, in Reading, he was a son of Richard Lee, Sr., husband of Shirley K. Stricker of Muhlenberg Township and Jacqueline F. (Saul), wife of Frank Macsisak of Exeter Township.

Richard was a 1975 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

He was employed as a grinder with Carpenter Technology for 32 years, last working in May, 2010.

Richard was past trustee at Goodwill Benefical Association, Muhlenberg Township.

He was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Muhlenberg Township.

In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by two sons, Jason R., husband of Kimberly A. (Herbein) Stricker of Centre Township and Ryan L., husband of Heather M. (Scalese) Stricker of Ontelaunee Township; a brother, Jeffrey Stricker of Mohnton; sisters, Cynthia Williams of Muhlenberg Township, Kathy Price of Fleetwood, Diane Burkhart of Stouchsburg and Nikki Detwiler of Exeter Township and grandchildren, Savanna, Julia, Colby, Brayden and Mason Stricker.

A Memorial Service will be Thursday at 6 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
