Richard A. Smith

Richard Allen Smith, 64, died June 18, 2012 in his Reading residence.

He was the partner of Brent S. Druding of Reading.

Richard was born in Reading, PA on July 30, 1947 and was a son of the late Edwin H. and Filomena C. (Piergrossi) Smith.

He was a 1966 graduate of Reading High School and a graduate of Empire Beauty School.

Richard was employed for 20 years as a cosmatoligist for various salons in Reading, Allentown and Philadelphia, retiring in 1990.

He was predeceased by his partner, Darryl L. Kantner and two siblings: Roger Lee Smith and Shirley (Smith) Schaeffer.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the funeral home. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery.
