Richard D. Scheetz Richard D. Scheetz, 63, Wyomissing, died of natural causes Oct. 21 in Pottstown Medical Center, where he had been a patient for two days.
He was the husband of Patricia E. (Sell) Scheetz.
Born in Wernersville, he was a son of the late Earl P. Skipper and Virginia (Clauser) Polchak. He was also predeceased by his stepmother, Victoria (Council) Skipper.
Scheetz had been employed for 23 years as a presser by H. Oritsky Clothing Manufacturing & Co., Reading, until his retirement.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Scheetz is also survived by three sons: Richard D. Reed and Tomas Colon, both of Reading, and Michael Colon, Mohnton, and five daughters: Barbara (Scheetz) Sweitzer, Fleetwood; Victoria Scheetz, Sinking Spring; Karin (Scheetz) Morrissey, West Reading; Jennifer Scheetz, Wyomissing; and Barbara L. Reed, Reading.
Other survivors include a brother, Robert P., Reading, and five sisters: Shirley (Scheetz) Ulrich, Wernersville; Kathryn (Scheetz) Lepore and Rosaline (Scheetz) Graffius, both of Reading; Barbara (Scheetz) Kershner, Hamburg; and Regina (Scheetz) McCrory, Newmanstown.
Also, two stepsisters, Anna Skipper and Ellen (Skipper) Kloc, both of Reading.
There are also 13 grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at noon in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Lebanon County.
