Richard S. Braddock

Richard Somers Braddock, 82, died February 13, 2010 in his Muhlenberg Township residence, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Rose M. (Scianna) Braddock.

Born February 14, 1927, in Reading, he was the son of the late Somers and Anna (Boas) Braddock.

Richard was a 1944 graduate of Reading High School.

He worked as an electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for over 44 years, retiring in 1989.

Richard was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children: Cheryl Ann Branton, Limerick; Karen M. Braddock, Reading and Gary R. Braddock, Mohnton. Also surviving are two grandchildren: Anthony and Elyse.

Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Rd., Laureldale. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Online condolences may be recorded at www.christfuneralhome.com.
