Richard C. Rissmiller, 77 of Perry Township died Sunday, November 5, 2017 in the Laurel Center, Tilden Township, the husband of Marie (Finnegan) Earnshaw Rissmiller. Richard was born in Klinesville, PA and was the son of the late Charles and Alice (Wink) Rissmiller. He was a 1958 graduate of Hamburg High School and served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Richard retired from the United States Postal Service, Mohrsville after 30 years of service in 2002.   Richard was a member of the Trinity Bible Fellowship Church, Blandon. He was a member of the Pocket Testament League, Primetime Senior Group and Berks County Patriots. In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by a daughter, Ann Marie, wife of Timothy Parker, Coleman, Texas, a son, Joey Rissmiller, Schuylkill County, three step-children, Harold, husband of Beth Earnshaw, West Chester, PA, Allen, husband of Deborah Earnshaw, Sinking Spring, PA and Rebecca, wife of Joseph Capriotti, Coatesville, PA. Additionally, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren survive Richard who loved their "Pappy" dearly. Two sisters, Marie A., wife of Charles Brobst, Anchorage, Alaska, Nancy L., wife of Ronald Hulet, Hamburg, two brothers, Robert D., husband of Bonnie Rissmiller, Tilden Township and Clarence L., husband of Carol Rissmiller, Lansdale also survive Richard. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Trinity Bible Fellowship Church, 220 Main Street, Blandon, PA. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening and again on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until time of service both viewing times at the church. Burial will follow in Laureldale Cemetery. The Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.burkeydriscoll.com.
