Richard E. Rapp

Richard E. Rapp, 83, of Augusta Lane, Flying Hills, formerly of Cortland Avenue, Kenhorst, died Aug. 22, in the residence of his stepdaughter in New Hope, Bucks County.

He was the husband of Dorothy (Francadilla) Paglione Rapp. He was predeceased by his first wife, Catherine (Lemmer) Rapp, in 1971.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Ross and Mary (Lucabaugh) Rapp.

Rapp had been employed as the owner of Tiger Service Auto Glass, from 1945 until 1991.

He was a 1937 graduate of Reading High School.

Rapp was also a Navy veteran of World War II.

He is also survived by a daughter, Kathleen A. (Rapp) Vollenweider, Wyomissing; and two stepsons, Stephen Paglione, Bristol, Bucks County; and Dominic Paglione, Villas, N.J.

Other survivors include three stepdaughters: Elaine (Paglione) Flatch, Yardley, Bucks County; Darcy (Paglione) Dougherty, Linwood, N.J.; and Marie (Paglione) Burton, New Hope.

There are also 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, (Plowville) 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, Mohnton, Pa 19540. Viewing Monday evening 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue West Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. Contributions may be made to the church or any Hospice organization.
