Richard E. "Pete" Petersen, 74, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away October 30, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital.
He was the husband of Sandra L. (Brown) Petersen.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Richard L. Petersen and Bernice S. Kirlin.
He was a graduate of Reading High School.
Pete worked for over 25 years for Offset Impressions, Reading.
He was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns, LA Dodgers and Boston Celtics.
Pete was an avid golfer. One of his proudest moments was hitting a hole-in-one on the 18th Hole at the Flying Hills Golf Course.
He was a devoted father and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Pete will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: Richard K., husband of Connie Petersen, Robesonia, Jeffrey S., husband of Darlene Petersen, Exeter Township, Ryan C., husband of Tarinda Petersen, Oley and Amber, wife of Christopher Gockley, Muhlenberg Township; his step-brother, Ted Hare; his half-sister, Lori; seven grandchildren: Lauren S. Gockley, Tyler J. Gockley, Derek J. Petersen, Morgan R. Petersen, Jason S. Petersen, Paul R. Petersen and Luke R. Petersen and his beloved grand dogs, Rocky and Belle.
Pete is predeceased by his step-father, Edgar S. Kirlin.
