Richard H. Oswald

Richard H. Oswald, 81, of Pennside, died January 3, 2010 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the husband of Bettie M. (Dudley) Oswald.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Richard H., Sr. and Helen (Bertolet) Oswald.

Richard was a supervisor for AT&T until his retirement.

He was a member of the Reading Zoning Board for many years.

Richard was a member of St. Cyril's R.C. Church, Reading.

He was a U.S. Navy CBs veteran.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two children: Mark R., husband of Cecelia M. Oswald, Hickory, NC and Lauren L., wife of Robert B. Burky, Sinking Spring. He is also survived by his three grandchildren: Megan K., Christopher R. and Colin A.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Cyril's R.C. Church, 449 South 6th St., Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
