Richard C. Ney

Richard C. Ney Richard C. Ney, 82, Temple, died Nov. 11 at 6:15 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since Oct. 26.

He was the husband of Rose P. (Shipe) Ney.

Born in Schuylkill Haven, he was a son of the late Conrad and Mabel (Straub) Ney.

Ney was employed for 41 years as a melter foreman on the vacuum furnace by Carpenter Technology Corp., retiring in 1982.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Ney was a 1941 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

He is also survived by two sons, Michael R., Myerstown, and James R. Philadelphia; and a daughter, Barbara R. (Ney) Keltz, Wyomissing.

Other survivors include three grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton.
