Richard D. Mulvaney, 80, of Ware, Massachusettes, died December 25, 2008, in St. Joseph's Hospital, Reading, PA.
He was married to the late Paulette A. (Cassen) Mulvaney.
Born in Ware, Massachusettes, on December 1, 1928, he was the son of the late Daniel and Julia (McGrath) Mulvaney.
Richard was a graduate of Ware High School, Ware, Mass. He served in the U.S. Army.
He was employed by Brick Layers and Allied Craftmen, Local #1, as a brick layer.
Richard was an avid reader. He was a member of All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Ware, Mass.
He is survived by three daughters; Eileen (Mulvaney) wife of Randy Jones, Wernersville; Maura Mulvaney, Paris, France; and Dianne Mulvaney, W. Yarmouth, Mass.
Two brothers and a sister also survive him; Robert Mulvaney of Wayland, Mass; Daniel Mulvaney, Putnam, Conn.; and Margaret (Mulvaney), wife of Dr. Philip Cortese, Amsterdam, NY.
Other survivors include two grandchildren; Matthew and Courtney Jones.
A service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Charboneau Funeral Home, Ware, Mass. Viewings will be held Friday 5-7:00 p.m. and Saturday 9-10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be Saturday at All Saints Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Reading Public Library, 113 S. 5th Street, Reading, PA 19601 in Richard's memory.
