Richard G. Lesinski

Richard G. Lesinski, 69 of Chinquapin, North Carolina died January 11, 2018 in Duke Medical Center Hospital, Durham, NC. He was the husband of Danuta K. (Mikos) Lesinski. Rich was born in Pisz, Poland and was the son of the late Anna J. (Ramotowski) Lesinski and Frank Lesinski of Bern Township. Richard was a 1969 graduate Reading Central Catholic High School. He was of the Catholic faith. Richard worked for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission for 34 years retiring in 2007. He enjoyed hiking in his youth, collecting comics, stamps and post cards. He loved John Wayne, (The Duke) and Elvis Presley, (The King). Richard was very compassionate and loved his family unconditionally and always wanted the best for his family. He worried about his children and asked that they would call him when they arrived home even as adults. In addition to his wife Danuta, and his father, Frank, Richard is survived by his children; Matthew, Edward and Anita, grandchildren; Sara, Gevara, Elias and Dariusz, and siblings; Halina Mylnarczik, Wanda Zabinski, Stella Nowotarski, Victor Wisniewski, Barbara Kurtz and Bogda Stavarski. His sister, Danuta Kowal, 1985, mother, Anna Lesinski, 1998 and his grandson, Thaddeus Lesinski, 2015, predeceased Richard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 19 th at 11:30 a.m. from St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 2810 St. Albans Drive, Reading, PA. A viewing will be held in the church from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Reading.
