Richard T. Kerper

Richard Thomas Kerper, Sr., 54, died March 8, 2007 at 5:25 pm in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where he had been since Wednesday.

Born April 16, 1952 in West Reading, he was a son of Shirley Arlene (Peters) Kerper, with whom he last resided and the late Darwin Andrew Kerper Sr.

He was a 1970 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School.

Richard was employed a total of 15 years as a mechanic with Bear Alignment, Reading, last working Wednesday.

He is also survived by two former wives, Kathleen P. (McDonough) Reed of Laureldale and Donna L. (Gnau) Kerper of Bern Township.

Other survivors include a son, Richard T. Kerper, Jr. of West Reading and two daughters, Tonya L. Winter of Muhlenberg Twp., and Colleen M. Kerper of Bern Twp.

Richard is also survived by a brother, Darwin A. Kerper, Jr. of Alsace Twp., and two sisters, Lynn A. Puc and Cheryl L. Price both of Cumru Twp.

There are three grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held Tuesday at 11 am in West Lawn United Methodist Church, Penn & Woodside Avenues with the Rev. Sherry Lantz officiating.
