Richard K. Hiester

Richard K. Hiester, 86, passed away January 31, 2016, in his Wernersville residence.

His wife, Doris J. (Miller) Hiester died May 30, 2009. They were happily married for 57 years .

Born in Denver, PA, he was the son of the late Clarence D., and Mamie L. (Grimes) Hiester.

Richard was a 1947 graduate of Shillington High School.

He was a United States Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

Richard was employed for 35 years by Dana Corp as a scheduler before retiring in 1985.

He was a long-time member of the American Legion and the Ruffed Grouse Society.

Richard is survived by his children, Brian D., husband of Kathleen Hiester, Wernersville, and Todd K. Hiester, Sinking Spring. His grandson, Eric Hiester, Leesport, and step-grandson, Gregory Chapman, St. Petersburg, FL. also survive him.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Marlene (Hiester) Hammer, Donald Grimes and Victor Grimes.

Services will be private at the conveniences of the family.
