Richard Ellwood Hain

Richard Elwood Hain, 81, formerly of Shillington, passed away at Spruce Manor- West Reading on Saturday, August 3, 2024. He was the widower of Carol Ann Hain, who passed away in 2020.

Born in Reading, Richard graduated from Reading High School in 1960. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force.

Richard worked as a tow motor operator for over twenty years with Bachman Pretzel Company, Reading until his retirement.

Richard enjoyed art specifically drawing. He was proud of his artwork being shown recently at Spruce Manor. Family around the holidays was treasured time by him. He was a huge fan of the old Westerns on television in black and white.

Left to honor Richard's memory are his sister, Marcia A. Conver; brother Elwood Henry Hain, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.

Richard was predeceased by his parents and wife.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
