Richard H. Northeimer

Richard Howard "Dick" Northeimer, 87, of Muhlenberg Township, died November 12, 2010 in Berks Heim, Bern Township.

He was the husband of Bettie Jane (Dautrich) Northeimer, whom he married May 17, 1946.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Harry and Pearl (Yerger) Northeimer.

Richard was a graduate of Reading High School.

He was employed as a foreman with Met-Ed for 41 years, retiring in 1987.

Richard served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

He was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ, Reading.

Also surviving are three children: Diane L., wife of Jerry C. Stick of Pottstown; Brenda L. Northeimer of Muhlenberg Township and Richard A. Northeimer of Jefferson City, MO.

In addition, he is survived by a sister, Elizabeth T. Grubb of Exeter Township; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Luareldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
