Richard E. Fisher

Richard E. Fisher, Jr, 68, of Cumru Township, died December 10, 2008 in his residence.

He was married to Jane A. (Harper) Fisher.

Born in Reading November 3, 1940, he was a son of the late Richard E. Fisher Sr. and Dorothy H. (Hill) Lewis.

Richard was a member of the U.S. Air National Guard.

He was a member of the Pennsylvania Junior American Legion Hall of Fame; coached Shillington Junior Legion Baseball for 22 years until 2004; was assistant baseball coach for Governor Mifflin High School for 15 years until 2000; and was a member of the Clover Park Athletic Association.

Richard is survived by a son, Jeffrey L., husband of Sheri Fisher, Oley; and a daughter, Kelly Jo, wife of Todd Vogel, West Lawn.

There are also two step-sons; Chris Shulski, Shamokin, PA; and Dan Reiter, Reading.

He is also survived by two sisters; Robin Sarrantonio, Connecticut; and Sharon Mallon, Virginia; and nine grandchildren.

Richard was predeceased by his half brothers; William Fisher, James Fisher and Joseph Lewis; and his half sister Mary Lynn Lewis.

A Visitation will be held Sunday 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Memorial services will be private at the convenience of the family.
