Richard Daubert

Richard Lamar Daubert, 92, passed away September 18th, 2024 at his home in West Reading, Pennsylvania.

"Dicky," as he was known to all, was born to Charles Daubert and Emma (Klinger) Daubert in Valley View, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. His family moved to Shillington, Pennsylvania during his childhood. There, he excelled in athletics and was a pole vault state champion at Shillington High School. Upon graduation in 1950, Dicky served in the Navy during the Korean war and was stationed in Cuba. Once back home and his service completed, he met and married his "darling" Janice and had a daughter, Jodi. He also began a career for the Reading Railroad as an electrician. He was an avid golfer scoring a hole in one on 7 different occasions. Dicky also enjoyed Phillies baseball, playing blackjack and gin and most of all spending time with his darling and his family. His wit and sense of humor could make a room laugh. He always made family and friends feel welcomed and special. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Rose Cuifici, of West Reading, PA; daughter, Jodi L. Dinsmore, wife of Thomas, of Wernersville, PA; granddaughter, Jana L. Thompson, of Athens, PA, prior to her passing; and grandsons, Richard Collin Dinsmore, husband of Andrea, of West Chester, PA and Daniel T. Dinsmore, husband of Kristin, of Hoboken, NJ. Also surviving are his great-grandchildren: Jacob and Cade Dinsmore, of West Chester, PA, and Mya and Noah Thompson, of Athens, PA

Dicky was predeceased by his brothers: Charles Daubert, Jacob Daubert, and twin brother, Robert Daubert, and his sisters, June Schlegel and Mary Huntzinger.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
