Richard T. Cullen, 84, passed away March 8, 2016 in his Laureldale residence.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late John and Mae Cullen.

He was the beloved husband of the late Josephine M. Cullen.

Herman was a U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.

He was a long time and very active member of St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church.

Herman was employed by Branch Motors as a tow motor operator for many years. He was also employed by Southends as a bartender and was a volunteer firefighter.

He was an avid sports fan especially the Philadelphia Eagles. He enjoyed gambling and a good dish of ice cream. Herman also enjoyed dancing and was the life of the party, but most importantly he cherished his time with his family and friends. He was a member of the quoiting club.

Herman is survived by his children: Linda Cucinotta, companion of Reggie Quinones, Reading and Anna Marie Cullen, Virginia; stepchildren: Francis McCaul, Marianne Leblanc, Annette Heydt and David McCaul; three siblings, Russell Cullen, Kathryn Monderewicz and Joan Osiekie. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Jessica Godek, Jennifer Romano and four step grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his second wife, Margaret "Peg" Cullen and his four siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 14, 2016, at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 2810 St. Albans Drive, Sinking Spring, PA 19608 with burial to follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611 to help defray funeral expenses. Online condolences can be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
