Richard Paul Cronk

Richard Paul Cronk, aged 77, passed away on October 30, 2024, in Lansdale, PA. Born on June 6, 1947, Richard was a long-time resident of the Reading, PA area and a respected electrical engineer in the nuclear power sector, dedicating over forty years of service at Gilbert Associates / Worley Parsons.

Richard graduated from Montrose High School before earning his degree from Drexel University. Known for his logical mind and sometimes stubborn nature, Richard was a pillar of strength and a devoted provider for his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Rose Marie Burns Cronk, his daughter Lisa Marie Cronk, his son Scott Cronk, his sister-in-law Mary Burns and her partner Stephen Ballo, Jr., and his cousin Donald Cronk. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mary Cronk.

Richard was an enthusiastic sports fan, often found cheering for the Phillies and following Big Ten sports. His leisure time was also filled with rounds of golf, games of bowling, and poker nights with friends. He once achieved a score of 299 in a bowling game, only missing the elusive two pin on his final roll.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home at 739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation in Richard's memory. Richard's commitment to his family and passions will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew him.
