Richard Cardinal, 64, of Bentley Drive, Palm Harbor, Fla., formerly of West Reading, died of natural causes Nov. 8 in the Veterans Affairs Hospital, St. Petersburg, Fla., where he had been a patient since Nov. 1.
Born in West Reading, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary (Lavigna) Cardinal.
Cardinal was the owner of the Italian-American Club, West Reading, for 30 years, retiring in 1998.
He was a member of the 1953 undefeated West Reading High School football team.
Surviving is a son, Richard C., with whom he resided.
Other survivors include two brothers, Carmen, Mount Penn, and Charles, Las Vegas; and a sister, Rita Cardinale, West Reading.
Memorial services will be Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading.
