Richard C. McNamara, 66, Naples, Fla., formerly of Wyomissing, died of natural causes Sept. 26 in North Naples Community Hospital.
He was the husband of Bette A. (Zook) McNamara.
Born in Boston, he was a son of the late John J. and Kathleen (Tobin) McNamara.
McNamara was employed for 18 years as national sales manager by the John Wright Co. until 1982 and was last employed for 15 years as national sales manager by Cornwall Lebanon Foundry, retiring in October 2003.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
McNamara was a 1960 graduate of Boston University.
He sailed on the "American Eagle" as part of the America's Cup and crewed on the "Nefertiti" in 1962 and the "American Eagle" in 1964.
McNamara was a past officer of the Pennsylvania Foundry Association.
He is also survived by a son, Richard McNamara, Santa Monica, Calif.; and two daughters, Amy (McNamara) Moore, Cary, N.C., and Julia (McNamara) Walker, Lancaster.
Other survivors include a stepson, Peter Thomas, San Francisco; and two stepdaughters, Georgine (Thomas) Anton and Kathleen Thomas, both of Washington, D.C.
There are also eight grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
