Richard M. Bauman

Richard M. Bauman, 87, of Bernville, died July 28, 2009 in Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Addamenia M. (Evans) Bauman.

Born in Huntingdon, West VA, he was the son of the late Frank and Frances (Monroe) Bauman.

He was a 1941 graduate of Reading High School.

Richard was an Associate-Broker with Remax of Reading for the past 21 years and previously a parter with the same firm from 1982 to 1989. Mr Bauman was also owner or partner of R.M. Bauman Real Estate and Conrad, Blessing, Bauman Bros Real Estate.

He was appointed to the Board of View of Berks County and served on Board of Directors of Episcopal House. He was also past President of the Greater Reading Board of Realtors and First Church of Christ, Scientist, Reading.

Richard was an avid golfer.

He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran serving in the Pacific Front during WWII.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, David E., husband of Susan Bauman, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, his daughter, Phyllis A., wife of Edward Kropp, Doylestown, and a daughter-in-law, Linda L. Bauman, Flying Hills.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Ted Carol, Beth Schoener, Jennifer DeVage, Peter Kropp, Julie McKenzie, Austin Bauman and Missy Bauman. Eight great-grandchildren also survive him.

Richard was predeceased by his son, Richard M. Bauman, Jr.

Memorial Services will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
