Richard B. Seidel

Richard B. Seidel, 86, passed away Friday September 22, 2023, in his Boyertown home.

He was the loving husband of Carole W. (Fulmer) Seidel. They were married on July 3, 1981.

Born in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late George H. and Mary E. (Bishop) Seidel.

Richard was a 1955 graduate of Pottstown High School.

He was employed by the Boyertown School District for 27 years as a transportation supervisor, retiring in 1996.

Richard was a passionate golfer who derived great pleasure from engaging in the sport. In addition to his affinity for golf, he also took delight in sailing and playing pool. Furthermore, Richard held membership in the esteemed Boyertown Lions Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Blake R., husband of Christine (Moore) Seidel, Shelley L., wife of Robert Pennypacker, and Mindy K., wife of Randy Conrad; two step-children, Timothy J., husband of Kathi Weaver and Linda M., wife of Duane Clifford; and three siblings: the late George H. Seidel, Jr., Joan E. Brassacchio, and Robert W. Seidel. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Jonathan Cook, Jeremy Diehl, Emily (Weaver) Hess, Daniel Pennypacker, Jordan (Pennypacker) Corino, Taylor (Conrad) Threlfall, Justin Clifford, and Janelle (Clifford) Schwartz; and 13 great-grandchildren.

At Richard's request, services will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516. Edward J.
