Richard A. Kelly

Richard A. Kelly, 63, formerly of North Ninth Street, died of natural causes July 9 at 8:40 p.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., West Reading.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Packer and Mary (Hensel) Kelly.

Kelly had been employed as an account representative by Twinpower USA Inc., retiring in April 1999.

He was a 1958 graduate of Central Catholic High School.

Kelly was a three-time champion of the Frederick W. Nicolls Memorial Golf Tournament held annually at the Berkshire Country Club, earning victories in 1977, 1986 and 1989.

He is survived by three sisters, Virginia A. Kelly, Reading, and Mary Katherine (Kelly) Lee and Rose Mary (Kelly) Esterly, both of Wyomissing.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in Gethsemane Cemetery Chapel, Laureldale. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
