Rhea M. Neiswender

Rhea M. Neiswender, 89, South Heidelberg Township, formerly of Wyomissing, died Dec. 7 at 8:21 a.m. in the Mifflin Center, Cumru Township, where she had resided one day.

Her husband, Dewey L. Neiswender, died in September 1984.

Born in Strausstown, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Sallie (Bertram) Kauffman.

Neiswender was employed for 14 years as a seamer by the Berkshire Knitting Mills, Wyomissing, retiring in 1955.

She was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Spring Township.

Surviving is a son, Barry E., South Heidelberg Township, with whom she last resided.

Other survivors include a sister, Claire (Kauffman) Strauss, Mohrsville; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at noon in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
