Regina C. Salvatore

Regina C. Salvatore, 100, formerly of Wyomissing, PA and Peekskill, NY, died August 12, 2012 in the Laurel Center, Hamburg PA. Regina recently celebrated her 100th birthday this past July.

Born July 17th, 1912 in Peekskill, NY, she was the daughter of the late Dominic Salvatore and Lucia (DiCarlo) Salvatore.

She graduated from Hendrick Hudson High School in Peekskill, class of 1930 and the Gaines Business School in NYC 1931. She worked as a secretary for Lever Brothers Company for 20 years, retiring in 1979.

Miss Salvatore, never married, was predeceased by her five other siblings. She relocated to Berks County, PA in the late 90's to live with her last living sibling, Julia (Salvatore) Kennedy until Julia's death in 2004. Since early 2005 until recently she resided with her nephew, David T. Kennedy and his wife, Laura in Bernville, PA. She is also survived by her nephews, Dr. E. Richard Kennedy of Mohnton PA, and Ronald J. Kennedy of Mohnton PA as well as several nieces in various locations. She was predeceased by her niece Lucille (Kennedy) Lamparella.

Services will be Friday at 8:30a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
