Rebecca S. Stricker

Rebecca Sue (Hallowell) Stricker, 30, of Shillington, died January 14, 2007 at 10:35 am after a long battle with Cancer in the Reading Hospital where she had been a patient since January 3rd.

She was the wife of Troy Michael Stricker, whom she married May 19, 2001.

Born June 13, 1976 in Reading, she was a daughter of J. Michael and Susan E. (Eshenaur) Hallowell of Reading.

She was a 1994 graduate of Reading High School where she received 10 varsity letters in Swimming, Cross Country and Track.

Rebecca was also a 1999 graduate of West Chester University where she was a member of the Swim Team.

She was a member of Nativity Lutheran Church, Reading.

Rebecca was employed for seven years as the Physical Education Director and the Summer Camp Coordinator at the Reading Jewish Community Center, last working in August.

She is also survived by a son, Beau Conner Stricker at home and a brother, Michael A. Hallowell of Shillington.

Other survivors include her paternal grandparents, John R. and Gertrude T. (Tobias) Hallowell of Wernersville and aunts and uncles; Judith A. (Eshenaur) wife of Santo Napoli of Reading and David L. husband of Sherrie Hallowell of Wernersville.

Services will be Thursday at 11:00 am in Nativity Lutheran Church, 1501 North 13th Street, Reading, with the Rev. Eileen M. LeVan officiating. Viewing will be held from 9:00 am until time of services in the church. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Beau C.
