Raysa Del Socorro Trinidad De Tejada

Raysa Del Socorro Trinidad de Tejada, 56, of Reading, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024, in the care of Penn State Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of Juan Tejada. High school sweethearts, they shared over 36 years of marriage.

She was born in San Francisco de Macoris in Dominican Republic to Alejandro Trinidad and Ana Polina Puello. In 1992, Juan brought his wife and young son to the United States.

Raysa was a generous person who always did everything she could to help others. She dedicated the last Saturday of the year to visiting the sick. A member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church of Reading, she lived her faith everyday. In addition to her work with Sweet Street Desserts of Reading, she assisted her husband and son in their business providing cleaning services to hospitals.

In addition to her husband, Juan, Raysa's memory will be treasured by her children, John Tejada, husband of Marya Tejada, of Reading, and Shayla Rodriguez, wife of Brandon Rodriguez, of Reading; her step daughter, Tianna Tejada of New York, NY; and her grandchildren, Katie Tejada, Theodore Rodriguez, Jonah Tejada, and Matteo Tejada. One of the 12 children born to Alejandro and Ana, she is also survived by her brothers and sisters: Ramona Trinidad, Dulce Trinidad, Enmanuel Trinidad, Julio Trinidad, Miguelina Trinidad, Eddy Trinidad, and Yelda Trinidad.

She was predeceased by her brother, Roberto, and sister, Melania Altagracia Trinidad.

Services for Raysa will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, In, 5153 Kutztown Rd, Temple PA 19560. Condolences may be expressed at KuhnFuneralHomes.com.
