Raymond P. O'Boyle

Raymond P. O'Boyle, 79, of Fleetwood, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 2:40 pm in the Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia, where he had been a patient for 3 weeks.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley M. (Rothenberger) O'Boyle.

Born in Fleetwood, he was a son of the late Russell and Emma (Spohn) O'Boyle.

He was a 1948 Graduate of Fleetwood High School. He was a member of Zion Spies Evangelical Reformed Church and the Pike Township Sportsman's Association.

He was previously employed at Quaker Maid Kitchens and lastly worked as a Service Technician for Good's Furniture for 30+ years, prior to retiring on April 20, 1995. He enjoyed repairing clocks as a hobby.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his Daughter: Sheryl L., wife of Wilson A. Stamm of Fleetwood and a Step Sister: Pearl Noll of Fleetwood. Also his Grandchildren: Troy Boyer, Brian Boyer, Michelle Boyer, Jason Singer and Rachel Singer and his Great Grandaughter: Corinne Singer. He was predeceased by a Daughter: Cynthia Boyer in 1979.

Services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 11:00 am in Zion- Spies Evangelical Reformed Church, 318 Spies Church Road, Alsace Township. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends and Family may view on Thursday from 6:30 -8:30 pm in the Blankenbiller Funeral Home, 423 Main Street, Oley and again on Friday from 10:00-11:00 am in the church.
