Raymond Earl Kieffer

Raymond Earl Kieffer Jr., 86, formerly of 600 Wellington Ave., Lincoln Park died August 17th at in Topton Lutheran Home where he had been since October 2001.

He was the husband of Noel S. (Schubert) Kieffer of the Topton Lutheran Home.

Born in Shillington, Pa., he was a son of the late Raymond E. and Martha S. (Sowa) Kieffer Sr.

He worked for General Tire Company in Tire Sales for a number of years and last worked for Gilberts Inc., as a clerk until his retirement in 1980.

Kieffer was a 1932 graduate of Shillington High School.

He was a member of Lincoln Park Community United Methodist Church, Spring Township.

He was a past president of the Mohnton Lions Club.

Kieffer is also survived by a daughter, Carol K. (Kieffer) Bashore of Spring Township and a son, David B. Kieffer of Germantown Maryland.

Other survivors include a sister, Marie (Kieffer) Sweigart of Cumru Township and four grandchildren.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Cumru Township. Contributions may be made to Lincoln Park United Methodist Church, Jefferson & Cambridge, Reading, Pa 19609. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
