Raymond L. Kemp

Raymond L. Kemp, 64, of Muhlenberg, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023, in the care of St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the widower of Lisa (Specht) Kemp, who passed away in 2012.

One of the six children born to Nancy M. (Entzminger) of Muhlenberg and the late Kenneth W. Kemp, Raymond graduated from Reading High School in 1976. He worked for over 34 years in the remelt shop at Carpenter Technologies before retiring in 2014.

Raymond was a straightforward man. He was a handyman who loved to renovate his home as well as his children's homes. He was a muscle car enthusiast, and he enjoyed watching television and movies with his grandkids. His Doberman, Lady, was his faithful companion.

Left to treasure his memory are his children: Joshua K. Kemp, husband of Kristine E. Kemp, of Leesport; Megan L. Campanaro, wife of Michael, of Bridgeport, NY; and the late Luke N. Kemp, who passed away on February 7, 2021. Raymond is also survived by his grandchildren, Taylor, Nathan, Zachary, Olivia, Jacob, and Samantha.
