Raymond J. Henning

Raymond J. Henning, 83, formerly of Shillington and Country Meadows, passed away January 30, 2009 in Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Florence M. (Apolla) Henning.

Born in Shamokin, he was the son of the late Joseph R. and Adaline (Woland) Henning.

He was employed by Austin Engineering, N.Y. for 25 years as a foreman, and Bethlehem Mines Corporation, Morgantown, retiring in 1980.

Raymond was a member of St John Baptist de la Salle Church.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in WWII.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert G. Henning, Sinking Spring, and Janice E. White, Shillington.

Other survivors include six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Baptist de la Salle, 420 Holland St., Shillington, PA 19607. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
