Raymond O. Heiser

Raymond O. Heiser, 81, of Michigan City, Ind., died April 13 at 3:57 p.m. in LaPorte (Ind.) Hospital.

He was the husband of Beatrice O. (Wetten) Heiser.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Elias and Jennie (Gift) Heiser.

Heiser was employed as a sales engineer by the Clark Equipment-Brown Trailer Division in Reading and Michigan City, and was also employed by the Morgan Trailer Manufacturing Co., Caernarvon Township, until his retirement.

An Army veteran of World War II, he received the Purple Heart.

Heiser is also survived by a daughter, Sherry (Heiser) Smith, Michigan City; and a son, Daryl, Franklin, Ind.

Other survivors include two sisters, Blanche (Heiser) Trout and Frances (Heiser) Epler, and a brother, Donald, all of Reading.

There are also four grandchildren.

Services will be private. Burial will be private in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale, is in charge of local arrangements.
