Raymond A. Hain

Raymond A. Hain, Jr., 83, died December 31, 2008 at 9:25 pm in his Wyomissing residence.

He was married November 5, 1949 to Concetta M. (Matarazzo) Hain, of Wyomissing.

Born December 6, 1925 in Mohnton, PA., he was a son of the late Raymond A. Sr., and E. Catherine (Weiler) Hain.

He was a 1947 graduate of Reading High School and attended both Kutztown College and the Wyomissing Polytechnical Institute.

Raymond was a Marine Veteran of WWII.

He was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Raymond was also a life member of the Oakbrook Fire Company.

He was employed 35 years with Carpenter Technology, Reading, working as a metallurgist in the Research and Development office before retiring in 1985.

Raymond is survived by two children: Jon M., husband of Lori A. (Kramer) Hain of Grandy, North Carolina and Jennifer A. (Hain) Tillman, companion of Steve P. Gombar of Exeter Township.

There are also two grandchildren: Kayla Nicole Tillman of Exeter Township and Nathan Ambrose Hain of Grandy, North Carolina.

He was predeceased by a brother, Donald Glenn Hain, who died April 19, 2000.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 12:30 pm in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Third and Franklin Streets, Reading. A viewing will be held Saturday 11:00 - 12:00 in Edward J.
