Raymond F. Strauss

Raymond F. Strauss, 96 formerly of Country Meadows, died December 13, 2018, at Southeastern PA Veterans Center.

His wife, Gloria A. (Boaman) Strauss died July 19, 2012. They married February 2, 1957.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Lewis H. and Leah R. (Zern) Strauss.

He was a graduate of Reading High School in 1940 and Kutztown University in 1950 where he earned a BS in Education.

Raymond was a member of St. Daniel's Lutheran Church, Robesonia.

He was a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran serving during WWII.

Raymond was employed by CNA Insurance for 34 years, retiring in 1988.

He is survived by four children, Steven R. (Carol) Schell, Wyomissing, Deborah (Robert) Pullen, Delonica, GA, Thomas G. (Diane) Strauss, Eden, UT, and Phyllis M. (Thomas) Hoshaur, Exeter Township; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Raymond was predeceased by his son, Lewis Frederick Strauss and two brothers, Warren F. Strauss and Lewis Frederick Strauss.
