Randy W. Carter

Randy W. Carter Sr., 60, of Hamburg died Friday, September 18, 2015 in his residence. He was the husband of Jessie L. (Schadler) Carter. He was born in West Reading and was the son of the late Richard Carter and Bettie (Schreck) Carter of Fleetwood. He was a 1973 graduate of Fleetwood High School and a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army. He worked as a tow truck driver for Weaver's Towing, Muhlenberg for 25 years. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters; Tiffany Carter companion of Al Hoffman, Sr., Muhlenberg and Betti-Jo Kohl, Reading, two sons; Randy Carter, Jr. husband of Melissa Carter, Mt Penn and Chad husband of Heather Carter, Muhlenberg. Additional survivors include two stepsons, a stepdaughter, 15 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters. One brother predeceased him. A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. 40 South Fourth Street Hamburg.
