Randolph "Randy" S. Coyle, 61 of Spring Township was pronounced dead January 16, 2014 in the Reading Hospital. He was taken there after being struck by a vehicle on Penn Avenue in Wyomissing.

He was the husband of Judith Ann (Cramp) Coe, whom he married July 31, 2004.

Born in St. Joseph's Medical Center, Reading, PA, he was a son of Robert Michael Coyle, of Wichita, Kansas and the late Marjorie Lala (Horning) Youst.

Randy was also predeceased by a step-mother, Mary June (Eaton) Coyle and a step-father, Roy N. "Cook" Youst, Jr.

He was a 1969 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School.

Randy was employed as a lineman for 34 ½ years, with Bell Telephone/Verizon, retiring in 2005.

He later worked part-time with Fortna, Inc., West Reading, starting in April, 2006, last working Thursday.

Randy volunteered as a coach with the Wyomissing Soccer & Basketball Clubs.

He was also a volunteer with the Berks County Youth Hunting Field Days.

Randy was a passionate hunter, outdoorsman, and specifically, a highly respected turkey hunter.

He loved spending his free time with family and friends at Camp McClure, Clinton County and Lake Naomi, Pocono Pines.

Randy also looked forward to his weekly lunches with "The Boys".

In the 80's, he was ranked as one of the top ten competitive archers in Pennsylvania, shooting for the Reading Archery Club, Mohnton.

Randy was an avid fan of all Philadelphia sports as well as being a Duke and Penn State fan.

He was a life member of the following; Pennwyn Club, Mohnton; Mohnton Rod & Gun Club; Cushion Peak Rod & Gun Club; National Wild Turkey Federation; Rocky Mountain Elk Federation and Ducks Unlimited.

Randy was a dedicated family man and a loving father to four children: Jason S., husband of Meredith L. (Deloretta) Coyle of Brecknock Township; Meghan A. (Coyle), wife of Zachary C. Helinek of Boulder, Colorado; Emily C. Coyle, wife of Chrishna K. Brown of Spring Township and Julie A. (Coe), wife of Nicholas J. Fisher of Reading.

Other survivors include four of his loving grandchildren: Mackenzie L. Coyle, Rylee N. Coyle, Caiden S. Brown and Lucas C. Helenik.

There are also seven siblings surviving: Candace L. (Coyle) Blessing, wife of Garry L. Frees of Denver, Lancaster County; Greg A., husband of Margaret B. (Bell) Vance of Wichita, Kansas; Raymond S., husband of Ronale (Beaston) Coyle of Shillington; Mindy J. Vance of Wichita, Kansas; Marcy J. (Vance), wife of John Bredengerd of Caldwell, Kansas; Missy J. Vance of Wichita, Kansas and Kelly M. Coyle of Wichita, Kansas.

He was predeceased by a brother, Grant A. Vance.

Memorial Services will be held Monday, January 20, 2014 at 7:00 pm in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A visitation will be held Monday from 5:00 pm until time of service.

Randy's request was to have his ashes scattered at "The Cabin" at Camp McClure on Hyner Mountain in Clinton County.
